Book Donations to Facilities
The Correctional Library Support Program has an ongoing effort to collect book donations for Illinois facilities
- To date, CLSP has donated over 100 books (and counting) to IDOC libraries throughout the state
Programs and Projects
- In the spring of 2024, CLSP donated over 100 games and puzzles to assist IDOC libraries with passive programming
- CLSP donated multimedia equipment to 4 different facilities in Illinois to assist IDOC libraries with media programming
- "Justice Involved to Library Involved" poster session presented at the Illinois Library Association Conference
- Classical music concert given by the Ostrega/Uhl Project at Kewanee Life Skills Re-entry Center on July 14, 2023 and December 29, 2023

Professional Development Opportunities
CLSP currently seeks out professional opportunities for IDOC library staff by:
- Inviting guest speakers and experts related to the topic of correctional librarianship or serving the incarcerated
- Passing on or donating relevant professional articles and books
